Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation by the Traveler

If you decide to cancel your tour package, the following cancellation terms will apply based on when you submit the cancellation request:

  • More than 30 days before the scheduled departure:
    • Full refund of the tour price minus a 10% processing fee.
  • 15 to 30 days before departure:
    • 50% refund of the total tour price.
  • Less than 15 days before departure:
    • No refund will be provided for cancellations made within 15 days of the departure date.
  • No-show or cancellations on the day of departure:
    • No refund will be granted for no-shows or cancellations on the day of departure.

Refunds will be processed within 7 to 10 business days after cancellation confirmation.


2. Cancellation by Sunshine Tours & Travel

We strive to provide seamless travel experiences, but in rare cases, we may need to cancel or modify your tour package due to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, political instability, or other factors beyond our control.

  • If we cancel your tour before departure:
    • We will offer a full refund of the total tour price, or we will give you the option to reschedule for a future date, subject to availability.
  • If the tour is canceled after departure (e.g., due to safety concerns, weather, or emergency situations):
    • Refunds will be issued on a pro-rata basis for any unused services, such as unutilized accommodation, meals, or activities.

3. Changes to the Booking

We understand that plans may change, and we are happy to accommodate certain modifications to your booking. If you wish to change your travel dates, destinations, or any other details of your booking:

  • Changes made more than 15 days before the departure date:
    • Changes can be made subject to availability and will incur a rebooking fee of ₹2,000 per person.
  • Changes made within 15 days of departure:
    • Changes will be treated as a cancellation, and the applicable cancellation charges will apply.

4. Non-Refundable Services

Some services within your tour package may be non-refundable due to third-party policies or prepaid bookings. These may include:

  • Airline tickets (subject to airline terms and conditions).
  • Special permits, entry fees, or non-refundable bookings made for excursions or specific activities.

5. Special Circumstances (e.g., Medical Emergencies or Family Emergencies)

In case of a medical emergency or personal crisis, we understand that travel plans may need to change. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to request a change or cancellation due to an emergency. You may be required to provide supporting documentation, such as:

  • A doctor’s certificate in case of medical emergencies.
  • Proof of family emergency or other valid documentation.

These cases will be handled on a case-by-case basis, and a partial refund or rescheduling may be possible, subject to vendor policies.


6. Refund Process

All refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of booking. Refunds will typically be processed within 7 to 10 business days following approval.

For bookings made via debit or credit cards, refunds will be credited to the same card. In case of payments via net banking or other methods, refunds will be processed to the same bank account.


7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance at the time of booking your tour. Travel insurance can protect you against unforeseen events such as medical emergencies, trip cancellations, or delays. It is especially beneficial for covering non-refundable costs in case of trip interruptions.
